Hiyaaaaaa friends!

So this blog is going to be something a little different, especially since I am reverting back to my original layout for the blog. Someone recently told me to create a blog about many things that inspire me on a daily basis. It reminded me of my Dalai Lama upcoming quote

“If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door”.

Now, this blog as you may have been able to tell already is not a collab so I am listening to my audience as well.

On my journey, I learned that the key is to remove all the toxic from your life. I began this journey in January of 2017. I started with removing negative vibes which included:

My stress levels needed to become more controlled

My emotions needed to be checked, and put in place

My “wanna be friends” meaning toxic people in general, needed to be removed, literally.

Negative thoughts and opinions needed to stop clouding my judgement

Self-doubt and self-criticism needed to be tamed, it is good, but too much creates conflicting feelings and images to be portrayed.

When you learn who you are, what you're about, you become familiar with your body. Not only physically, but your mental and emotions all become in sync. It’s important to be in-tuned with yourself, it’s practically the only way one will be able to analyze and examine oneself.

So , the purpose of this blog is to simply share with you how I get through my days, what’s my daily motivation, what adds happiness and smoothness to my life, and how you too can reach a point of self-love and self-awareness by doing something similar.

This blog is not intended for me to write a big , comprehensive piece like I usually tend to do. On the contrary, I want this to be a piece that you can relate to through quotes, images, videos, etc. Something that you can reference when feeling some type of way, or something you can share with your friends, on your social media posts, etc.

Quotes :

“When opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door” Dalai Lama

“When I do good, I feel good. When I do bad, I feel bad. That’s my religion”. A Lincoln

“I can’t change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination”. Jimmy Dean

“Change your thoughts and you change your world”. Vincent Pele

“You must be the change you wish to see in this world”. Gandhi

“A dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work”. Collin Powell

“It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light”. Aristotle

“All you need is a plan, the road map, and the courage to press on to your destination”. Earl Nightingale

“Even if I knew the world would end tomorrow, I would still plant my apple seen”. Martin Luther“

It is in your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped”. Tony Robbins

Thoughts:

Happiness

Being able to truly find happiness? You’ll know what it is when you achieve it. You wake up in the morning with a peaceful mind. You look forward to what the day has in store for you. You carry on throughout the day comfortable. You feel better and you look better most importantly. I call it the “happiness glow”. You carry this bright and vibrant aura that those who really know you are simply able to feel it and just tell that you are finally in a good place in your life. It has taken me a while to get here but I am here. I try to keep myself motivated, even through the bad days, because we all have them. We also all have bad things that happen to us, that’s life, when we are at our highest, something always comes to knock you down. It’s how you get back up, that bounce back.

Love

Love is earned, you live to love. Family, you always have love for them, it’s more natural, it’s more easier because that’s just how it is with family. At least how it’s supposed to be. But then you have significant others, people that you meet and you learn how to love. You get to know the person, what they like, their goals, their aspirations, and you start off slow, but you learn to love them for who they are and what they are. They become a part of you, and that is what’s earned. You can’t automatically fall in love with someone, realistically, I don’t believe in that. Some do! But I don’t, you have to build from the bottom up, and when your at the top, you still have to build to keep it blossoming. Love is a beautiful thing. It’s powerful, when pure.

Peace

And peace, peace has different meanings to us all. Peace and tranquillity to me is very different from what you may find peaceful. For example: writing this blog is peaceful. And I can truly say that because I tend to pour everything out on these blogs. What does peace mean to you? Is it coming home and drinking a glass of wine and listening to your favorite music? Is it getting dolled up? Is it shopping? Is it spending time with your family and friends? Is it taking care of yourself, mani pedis, hair done, haircuts? Share your definition of peace in my chat! I’ll post on my social media!

Ps #1.

This post was an idea that was pitched to me by the person I’ve been talking to for a while now (yes in dating terms). And so, when I was constructing this post, all I could do was think of ways to make this simple, cute, without embarrassing myself.

So, to the person who has become my best friend, the man who feels like my soul mate, I love you. You have become all I can ask for in a man: you're smart, talented, compassionate, strong, fierce, and the list goes on, BUT most importantly, you're honest, you're trustworthy, and you're the man I’ve learned to fall in love with. I wouldn’t trade what we have for anything in the world. It’s organic, and always has been since Day 1. I have been waiting on you for a while, and you have always said to me “speak nothing but positivity into the new year” and I have. I have been patient, and understanding, but I don’t want to wait anymore, so the ball is now in “our” court not just yours. You know I’m a knucklehead sometimes lol. So, as I release this blog post, about happiness, peace, love and my inspirations, I have to dedicate this post to you. You are literally a part of it all.

Ps #2.

To all of you, ladies and gents, my lovely readers and supporters, thank you. You all have been part of my back bone. When I started this, I had no idea how this blogging would turn out, you all have become a part of my backbone. Your words of encouragement have been always very appreciated will continue to be welcomed. And again, please, this blog entails some of the key things that keep me uplifted and happy throughout the days and nights. These are the things I turn to when I am having my rough days, when my mind is restless. When you feel like this, just read a quote. Sticky note it like Mary Jane Paul does (that’s where I got it from) ! Listen to a song , listen to one of these videos, or read this and know that you are important.
